Effective Landing Page Design for local Butcher

Project goal

We had the pleasure to participate in the exciting re-branding project for this client - Millers Meatcraft. Millers Meatcraft is a specialty butcher shop loved by the community of Bowen Island, BC. They were undergoing a transformation into a new brand name with a modern look and feel. Our goal was to help them design a simple one page website that represent the essence of new brand.

After designing their new logo, I’m thrilled to revamp their website as well. As a local butcher shop the major focus is to let customer know their core values, who they are, what they offer, their location and opening hours, and most importantly, any latest news and promotion, in a mobile-optimized website.

As a web designer, my mission is not only making a nice-looking website, but to help the client communicate exactly what their customers would like to know, and help them think of a way to keep the website content fresh without a lot of effort. This time, I have integrated their social media account onto their website, so that they only need to update instagram to have new content on both website and instagram.

The back-end technical stuff

I understand how important it is for business owners to keep operating expenses low. Client was using Squarespace at first for their preivous landing page. I was SHOCKED to learn that they were paying CAD45/month for that one page! (To be fair, there were a lot of other functions within Squarespace, just that thoe services is not for this client.) Therefore, to suit this client's need the most, we have done something in the back end — moving the web hosting to a new one to save CAD500/year!
